hi
i havent really done anything with pxtone a long while ago except a couple short things, this is one of those. I am only posting this one because it's the only one i would call "done" despite being short, there's more i want to do with the others but I'm not quite sure what to even do next, how to progress the song.

it has lead me to pretty much just make a 4-meas long thing that i am unable to add more to it, the many things i have to create for the thing overwhelm me, i struggle creating a melody, now i have to create a bassline, god forbid chords and a rhythm for them..

for some reason the process of making music just makes me feel this way, i've noticed that i feel ashamed whenever i try to make any part of a song and it doesnt really sound right the first time, ashamed in a way that it makes me strongly want to not do anything to it anymore, but, why shame? no one is there to listen to whatever the hell i'm doing other than me, and i'm well aware that some things just wont sound nice the first time around, yet i still feel incredibly discouraged from continuing.

i guess something i should've been doing is reach out to friends for feedback on whatever i make, but i never do, no matter how much i trust someone i just can't really bring myself to ask them to tell me how they feel about something i made, likely out of shame aswell.

I get the way you feel. I go through the same thing on a cycle. One day everything sounds good and making music is no problem, the next day nothing sounds good and you want to never do any compositional ever again.
I've got my fair share of songs that are sitting in my projects folder that I open on occasion thinking maybe I can come up with a fresh idea, only to be wholly unsatisfied by what I add and close the project without saving.
Song sounds good, if you're ok with calling it done, then call it done. Nothing wrong with short and simple. Hope this helps!
